Dear Friends, Family and Alumni,
the “Friends of Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan” Foundation was created in March 2020 to support and provide funding for the implementation of intra- and inter-university cultural programs in science and education, benefiting Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and its Gyumri Branch. Over the years, the lack of adequate funding has unfortunately made it difficult to promote favorable learning conditions as well as the professional development of the teaching and administrative staff of the Conservatory.
The Foundation has several functions directly benefiting the Conservatory in the Republic of Armenia. Some of our goals are implementing collaborations with foreign, scientific, educational and cultural institutions to diversify our exposure and programs.
We are reaching out to our fellow alumni, friends and family to initiate the fundraising for the Conservatory. For many of the alumni, there are deep rooted memories as well as lifelong careers to be thankful for. To our friends and family, we have the benefit of helping our homeland and preserving an institution with professionals that have dedicated their lives to music, culture and education. With our joint help, the Conservatory can excel and continue to thrive in our growing country.
The Foundation provides financial and other resources for the study and preservation of scientific, educational and cultural values in the Republic of Armenia and abroad as well as encouraging research, creativity, assistance, public service, to promote the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan. Creating favorable learning conditions at Komitas Conservatory.
Our leadership team brings years of experience to promote the professional development of the teaching and administrative staffs of YKSC, to help establish and implement collaborations with foreign scientific, educational and cultural institutions, provides scholarships to the students, donates instruments, bows, cords and other important accessories, finances the acquisition of necessary computer equipment etc.
Ready to contribute ?
We have a number of projects and ideas for the sustainable development of the only Armenian music higher education institute in the world. Among them are the Levon Chaushyan inter-conservatory competition, the regional concerts of the conservatory students, scholarships etc. We hope that this important process, especially with the very desired support and participation of musicians and music lovers, will contribute to the strengthening and development of the Armenian musical art.
